Love this thursday.

Went to Liang court today and had a sumptuous lunch, plus shopping at kino, plus yummy gelato... This week is super sinful week cos eat too much and shop too much. Jialatz. But i'm so loving it, sigh.

Fruitful Sunday...

I finally didn't 赖床 today. Yay... went jogging in the morning but it was really too sunny that I gave up after two rounds. Bleah. And when I got home to shower, I was stunned to see tan line on my legs, from wearing three-quarter gym pants. win liao lor. in the morning sun for less than an hour and I got tan line on my legs. super ugly can. And so, I made up my mind to go sun-tan at East Coast, to balance out the ugly lines on my legs. arghh...




Of course, once I am out of my house, it won't be just cycling alone. hehe. I passed by 313 Somerset and bought clothes at Uniqlo... It was 90% impulse buy because I had an urgent need to de-stress and prepare myself for the next two weeks which would be super stressful. Also watched "Mao's Last Dancer" at PS after happy shopping. The dance moves were lovely but the plot so-so I feel. Inspired to go dance dance dance again, which is good I suppose. hee.

Finally.

Last evening, my boss finally approved my leave application for July. whew. Although, when we talked about it this morning, she confessed that she thought it was just one day leave application, instead of six days. That's why she clicked okay. I just replied "Too bad..." There goes my EQ skills I suppose but I really waited for a vacation for too long... so whatever lah. I don't care.

Time to plan for my trip. Finally. Would have loved to go explore Korea but air tix seems a bit pricey now. So I guess, back to Taipei? hmm... time to hit the library for some travel guides. :)

Talking about principles...

It's against my principles to decline a holiday invitation. Which is why I find it super frustrating cum depressing to have to decline my parents' invitation to travel to China and visit bro, using "Work is busy, Boss declined my leave" as a reason. Kinda flared up at them due to my frustration, which makes it even more maddening.

It's like... I'm not even aiming to be a career-woman... why is work taking over my life? It's sad, isn't it... to skip family vacations because of busy work schedule. This year seems to be bad for travel. bleah...

On another note, while making ramen supper just now, I imagined myself in Japan in Apr next year, on a three-month exchange. Could visualise myself cooking soba noodles and just nua-ing in my hostel room with a laptop. That would be my ideal grand escapade. Looking forward to that... hopefully I can be really disciplined to save up till then.

Shopping at NTUC Xtra

Left work at 8.15pm today so it was a no-exercise day again. But anyway, it rained real heavy in the evening so I don't suppose I would have gone home to jog too. In the end, I decided to head to the NTUC Xtra near my place to kick-start my healthy living plans for the week.

It was a very fruitful shopping trip. I bought cabbage, tomatoes, alfafa sprouts and salad dressing (Japanese style goma sauce and mentaiko), as well as potato wraps - intend to make my alfafa wrap tomorrow. wondering if I should bring salad to office to eat tomorrow too. Hee... I already bought a lunch box and insulator bag at Daiso last sunday. That will come in handy for packed salad tomorrow.



I also bought a CD player for my office. Always wanted to listen to radio in office but I only had my mp4 player with me, and it would have been too battery-exhaustive if I turned it on in office for the whole day. Been thinking about getting a player for a few months and finally got to action on boring 13 Apr. ha. Baa-baa played with the CD player a while ago too. I love the white colour of my new player! muackz.

Happily changed to go jogging after work today and guess what. Before I even reached the stadium, the sole of my NIKE came off. *glass shatters*kuang kuang kuang kuang*

Ended up walking around the track instead and the flubber tyres continue to expand after that, cos I finished up all the leftover wanton at dinner.

How loser. Bleah. :(

Finally, a short trip.

In less than 48 hours, 12 of us would be heading to Langkawi, most of us headed there for the first time.

Wanted to do some research at home initially but the stupid internet connection kept hanging so I tried to divert my attention to packing instead. I've concluded that it's not easy to pack for a short trip... Because it's a short trip, it seems a bit excessive to have to check in your luggage. BUT because I'm trying NOT to check in my luggage, I had to make hard decisions about what to wear, which camera to bring etc... sigh.

Till now, I still can't imagine how the trip will turn out... this is unlike Japan where I could easily conjure images of where I would be, what scenery I would be looking at... Langkawi's a total mystery... So I guess, this trip would be pretty exciting in a way huh.

Just sent my lomo film for developing today... Hoping to see the prints tomorrow so that I can decide whether to go 35mm film or digital. Oh well... update more when I get back ba.
