Of love and malfunction family...

Watched "The Beaver" today, starring Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster. The story was a little sad, as Walter Black, portrayed by Mel, suffered from depression and his family fell apart. He wanted to make things right, by pulling himself away from reality and intervening with a hand puppet but things got worse and it got harder and harder to retract from the puppet. Luckily the story ended with forgiveness and acceptance. Whew.

Malfunctioned families. I seem to hear more stories about malfunction families recently. Divorce, family abuse. Wonder what's happening to the world... I am again, ever so grateful for my loving parents, even though I can never reach out to them like the way I imagined.
